GN4 Phase 1 Preparation

NORDUnet input for GN4, phase 1

GN4 phase 1 is the first year of the 7 year GN4 project.  It is expected that

• The first year will run under the Framework Partnership Umbrella (FPA)
• Will be funded with ~25 M€.
• As it is just one year, will be a bridge between GN3+ and GN4
• WIll have the same basic structure as GN3+ - same high-level activities, same activity leaders, etc
• It is expected that a significant number of GN3+ activities will be extended for an extra year
• New ctivities should be one year only, i.e., be able to start and reach a reasonable delivery in a single year.

GN4 phase 1 idea process

As of January 2014, the GÉANT GN4 Working Group has issued a call for ideas.   The ideas must be in by end January 2014.  Ideas must be submitted in a simplified GN3+ NIF form.

This NIF can be used as an example of what should be in a completed NIF.  The document comments give additional guidance.

To collect ideas, NORDUnet & the Nordic NRENs are running a joint process:
