Task Leader application process for GN4 Phase1
DANTE posted the vacancies for GN4 Year1 Task Leaders to the "GEANT Jobs Board" and informed the members of the GN3plus Assembly about this. This entry on the NORDUnet Wiki is to inform the Nordic NRENs about this, and help them decide if there are one or more interesting positions in this. PLEASE NOTE: The deadline for applying is August 4, 2014 CoB.
As time is short, i.e. two more weeks to go, I propose that the Nordic NRENs apply directly to the PMO at DANTE, Cc:-ing me at NORDUnet <bos@nordu.net>. I will compile a list, so we know which GN4 Tasks are being applied for from the Nordics, and can make sure in our discussions with DANTE we know the playing field.

NORDUnet input for GN4, phase 1
GN4 phase 1 is the first year of the 7 year GN4 project. It is expected that
- The first year will run under the Framework Partnership Umbrella (FPA)
- Will be funded with ~25 M€.
- As it is just one year, will be a bridge between GN3+ and GN4
- WIll have the same basic structure as GN3+ - same high-level activities, same activity leaders, etc
- It is expected that a significant number of GN3+ activities will be extended for an extra year
- New ctivities should be one year only, i.e., be able to start and reach a reasonable delivery in a single year.
GN4 phase 1 idea process
New Idea NIFs from Nordic NRENs and NORDUnet has now been submitted (31 January 2014). In addition, nordic activity leaders in SA2, SA3, SA5, JRA1 have submitted NIFs on behalf of their existing activities.
