Due to the but in xmlsec I just discovered I've decided to repackage saml-md-aggregator as a war-file inside a minimal jetty distribution. This will allow me to endorse libraries to work around the bug. The refactoring of the packaging is ongoing in the jetty branch (github). This will probably be merged back into master very soon.
Another new development (if somewhat minor) is support for metadata UI extensions and metadata algorithm extensions in saml-md-beans. This will probably be used to provide more display hints for the web UI for saml-md-aggregator.
