Background and rationale:
To maximize the usage of NORDUnet resources and minimize the cost of travel and the inherent pressure on our environment associated with airline travel NORDUnet has established a number of Video and Audio Conferencing capabilities that is highly utilized in day to day operation but which is also available for Conferences an Meetings within the global NREN Community.
NORDUnet Meeting Service
NORDUnet offer the NREN Community convenient meeting facilities in Copenhagen (Only 10 min walk from Copenhagen Airport) and in Central Stockholm
- NORDUnet Copenhagen Main Meeting - Capacity 35 persons - Audio/Vconf/EduRoam/WIFI Available
- NORDUnet Copenhagen Small Meeting - Capacity 12 Persons - Audio/Vconf/EduRoam/WIFI Available
- NORDUnet Stockholm Main Meeting (In Progress - Will be available soon) - Capacity TBD - Audio/Vconf/EduRoam/WIFI Available
- NORDUnet Stockholm Small Meeting - Capacity 8 persons - Audio/Vconf/EduRoam/WIFI Available
The utilization of NORDUnet Conference Facilities is free for NORDUnet NREN Staff and Users. Others may use the facilities at a minimum cost base- Food & Beverages is available for all at cost.

NORDUnet Video Conferencing Service
NORDUnet offers a centralized Video Conferencing Service that supports multiple access capabilities:
- Terminal access through stand alone Video Conferencing Terminals.
- WEB based access providing interactive Video/ Audio Conferencing capabilities from any Windows, Mac OS-X or Linux based computer.
- Conference Streaming for watching on going conferences.
- Conference Recording for time shifted watching of previous held meetings and conferences.
- NORDUnet Direct Video Conferencing for accessing specific meeting rooms.
NORDUnet Audio Conferencing Service
NORDUnet offers Audio Conferencing Service in both Copenhagen and Stockholm.
The conference rooms are mainly reserved for NORDUnet Staff and Nordic NREN's but can be utilized on request by other NORDUnet Wordwide partners. The utilization of the NORDUnet Audio Conferencing Facility is a free service.
