UPDATE on the vulcano activity:
NORDUnet is committed to have a successful 2011 conference in Reykjavik. NORDUnet understand the concern of conference participants in light of the recent eruption of the Grimsvotn volcano. Currently the scale of the eruption has greatly decreased and risk to airspace is similar less. As of 25 May, the eruption is reported as "paused".
NORDUnet is hopeful that by the time of the 2011 NORDUnet conference, the eruption will no longer be a problem to air travel.
We are following the situation closely; if contrary to expectations the eruption picks up again, we will make an announcement no later then Tuesday, 31 May.
