The scope of the Operational meetings is to exchange operational experience and best practices, as well as coordinate and align the operational systems development efforts across the Nordics.

Nordic NREN Operational meetings are currently held 2 times a year, on a schedule that rotates hosting the meeting between the countries and the participating networks. 
NREN Operational meetings are attended by NREN Operational managers, NOC Managers, Senior Operations, OSS development staff and NORDUnet NOC manager and CNOO.

The outcome of each subject discussions can if agreed, be actions leading to working groups, or suggestions to NREN CTO group.
Working groups shall have mission and deliverables, and a maximum lifespan of 1 year.
