The scope of the NREN Technology meetings is to lead technical collaboration between the Nordic NRENs and NORDUnet. The meetings are focused on information sharing, plans, trends, new technology and services.
Nordic NREN Technology meetings are currently held 2 times a year, on a schedule that rotates hosting the meeting between the countries and the participating networks.
NREN Technology meetings are attended on an ad hoc basis by NREN and NORDUnet Technical staff, CTO's and technical managers, dependent on the subjects to be discussed.
Meeting Structure
Ad hoc participation based on subjects
- 1-3 subjects
The outcome of each subject discussions can if agreed, be actions leading to working groups, or suggestions to NREN CTO group.
Working groups shall have mission and deliverables, and a maximum lifespan of 1 year.
