About NDN COM

The NORDUnet COM group has the following purposes:

1. NDN COM is a forum for exchange of experience and best practices regarding NREN communication and with special focus on joint activities and the development of NORDUnet communication.
2. NDN COM works to make sure, that relevant NORDUnet communication reaches the Nordic NRENs and their stakeholders and users, by coordinating and disseminating NORDUnet news in their respective countries.
3. NORDUnet and NDN COM works together on promoting the Nordic collaboration internationally, for instance at the European networking conference TNC and in the “In the Field-blog”.
4. NDN COM undertakes joint Nordic communications activities on behalf of NORDUnet and the Nordic NRENs

NDN COM Charter

• Membership of the NDN COM is by default the person responsible for communication activities in a Nordic NREN. Other persons involved in NREN communication will be invited to join the meetings, when relevant.
• Gitte Kudsk, DeIC, chairs the NDN COM, with Lars Fischer, NORDUnet as co-chair and NORDUnet responsible
• Susanne Michelsen, NORDUnet, is secretary of the NDN COM and responsible for practical meeting arrangements.
• The NDN COM will have 3-4 face2face meetings a year
• Additional monthly meetings will be held by VC
• Face-to-face meetings will not have a VC option, in order to encourage and strengthen the collaboration, and the outcome of the meetings.
• Meeting agenda for F2F meetings must to be available one week in advance.
• Communication and invitations will take place on the NDN COM mailing list, managed by NORDUnet.
• A decision record will be send to the mailing list after the meetings.
