Purpose
This 2-day workshop provides attendees with a working knowledge of how to design and deploy a dynamic circuit network. This workshop uses the control plane software currently in service on the Internet2 Dynamic Circuit Network (DCN) and numerous other regional and national R&E networks. This software includes the "DICE" developed Inter-Domain Controller (IDC), the DRAGON (Dynamic Resource Allocation via GMPLS Optical Networks) GMPLS-based software and the OSCARS (On-Demand Secure Circuits and Advance Reservation System) webservice-based software.
